Welcome to the Home of Windrush Motorsport on the Web :::

On June 22, 1948, the SS Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury in Essex. Its arrival still heralds an important time in British history after it brought with it the first of many waves of immigrants from the Caribbean.

2008 will mark its 60th anniversary and, to celebrate this Windrush Motorsport hopes to partner with various organizations to start an outreach program using motor sport as a conduit to positively affect the lives of disadvantaged young adults from all ethnic backgrounds.

Windrush Motorsport also has the ambition of entering the first multi-ethnic driver line up from the UK, including the first black race driver, into the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race.

The quest is a fitting celebration of British multiculturalism and a tribute to those Windrush pioneers that first set foot on British soil almost 60 years ago.

It is commonly accepted that Windrush generations have had a profound effect on modern day culture, most notably in music, fashion and of course sport. To complement this, Windrush Motorsport aims to celebrate those achievements and the diversity of British culture by showcasing its driver talents on an international platform.
